Initially, offering group pensions, group health, and life and credit
insurance plans.
In June 1974, The Great
Lakes Employers Association
(a true business association) was formed for the purpose of providing the
small businessman the opportunity and advantages of large volume purchasing
when providing group insurance benefits for their employees. GLEA provided
life insurance, accidental death and dismemberment coverage, weekly indemnity
plans and medical benefits.
Continued growth has resulted in the marketing,
servicing and administration of group dental plans, prescription drug
programs, group long-term salary continuance, qualified group life insurance
programs, several comprehensive medical plans, optical and many other insured
products.
Currently, we service
firms and agents in
four states with various types of employee plans, providing valuable
insurance benefits for thousands of individuals.
The key to our success lies in the loyalty and dedication of
our employees serving the needs of our policyholders and agents. Therefore,
all inquiries and benefit deliveries are dealt with promptly, courteously and
effectively.
An atmosphere is created and technology provided to enhance
the maximum efforts of our people, resulting in a reputation of quality
service to agents/brokers and policyholders.

opposed to "wholesale brokerage”, Group Marketing Services, Inc. has
